How to Draw an Animated Basketball Play
Four steps, the same on a laptop, a tablet, or a phone. If you can use a whiteboard, you can already use this.
Place the players
Drag the five offensive players to their spots. Add defenders from Play Settings when the read matters.
Draw the action
Pick a cut, screen, pass, dribble, or shot from the rail and draw it on the court. Curve a path by dragging its midpoint.
Add the next step
Add a step for every pass or cut, so the animation shows the order of the action and not just where everyone ends up.
Play it back
