The practice for the week everyone needs a break. Every game still has a ball in it, so they practice dribbling and shooting without noticing. End on cheering, not on a winner.

01
Minnows 1, 2, and 3 on the baseline with balls; X1 and X2 are the sharks in the middle with no ball, and the cones mark the far line. On go the minnows dribble out with their eyes up, because a minnow watching the ball dribbles straight into a shark.
02
X1 tags 2, who went straight up the middle. 2 stops where he was tagged, puts the ball between his feet, and becomes a scarecrow with his arms out, balanced and planted, because a scarecrow who moves is out of the game for good.
03
The scarecrow can tag anyone who dribbles past, so 1 and 3 give 2 a wide lane; 3 crosses over away from X2's reach and X1 leaves the scarecrow to chase 1, because the sharks go where the live minnows are.
04
1 hesitates, then bursts past X1 with a change of pace toward the sideline, and 3 keeps his dribble alive heading for the line; the point is that speed changes beat a chaser and picking the ball up to run puts a minnow out.
05
1 and 3 cross the line between the cones still dribbling and are safe; the sharks jog back to the middle, 2 is released, and the round resets with new sharks, because every kid should get a turn chasing.
