About this practice
A fundamentals practice the way the Serbian school runs one for its older juniors: passing on the move as the warm-up, the two-count stop that every start and shot grows from, the Euro step taught around a chair in the lane, one-on-one from the triple threat with guards and bigs on the same drill, and every player playing facing, side-on, and back to the basket, because nobody has a position yet. The break work ends in a box-out every trip, the three-on-three chase forces an advantage, and the night ends the way their gyms end: a count under the clock, and nobody leaves until the streak is made. The habits come from the Serbian school: Davis Bertāns on Duško Vujošević's ten threes and the gardening gloves, in Eurohoops; Valentín García's write-up of the Yugoslav stop for the Valencian federation; Željko Obradović's break and plus-one drills from his FIBA practice; and ESPN's history of the Euro step for the chair. Look them up.
