Drill: Two-Ball Chair Weave
line of 4, two
balls each
1
2
On the whistle 1 pushes both balls up the lane at the same time, low, below the knees, because the low pound is what the whole trip is built on; the chairs sit at each free throw line and half court.
At chair 1 he makes the called move with both balls, the two-ball crossover, right at the chair and never ten feet early, because the chair is the defender and the move only matters at the defender's reach.
Between chairs the balls stay low and in the lane, and 2 leaves the baseline as 1 clears the first chair so the line keeps moving; at chair 2 the move repeats on the other side, which is why the course weaves.
Chair 3, same move, eyes up the whole way: a player who looks down at the chair is looking at the ball, and the point is to handle two balls without ever seeing them.
At the far baseline 1 turns and comes back alternating the balls, one down as the other comes up, because the alternating rhythm is the harder one; the line resets at that end and the next move is called after two trips.
