Drill: Sikma Move Series (Inside Pivot Face-Up)

Coach 2 at the wing with the ball, a dummy defender behind the post. 1 flashes from the block to the mid-post, back to the basket, with a target hand up, because the catch has to come with two feet under him.
2 passes to the target hand and 1 catches on a jump stop with the ball high, because that way either foot can become the pivot and the ball never comes down where the defender can reach it.
The Sikma: 1 reverse pivots on the baseline foot and swings the top foot back away from the defender, ending square to the rim a step farther out; the step-back is what creates the space, so the ball stays above his head the whole turn.
1 hops into balance and shoots the face-up jumper with a high release and no dip, because a dip gives a longer defender the time he needs to recover and contest.
1 rebounds his shot, passes back to the coach, and sprints to the block to reset, so the next rep starts with a real flash and a real catch instead of a standing one.
1 flashes to the mid-post again for the counter rep, same target hand, same two-foot catch, because the counter only works if it looks exactly like the jumper until the last moment.
2 feeds the post again; 1 catches high and pivots into the same face-up, reading whether the defender closes or stays back, so the pivot stays automatic and only the decision changes.
Counter A: the defender closes, and 1 shot-fakes from the face-up and drive-steps past him with one dribble to the rim, because a closing defender is already off balance; he keeps the pivot foot down until the ball leaves his hand.
1 finishes off the glass; the jumper, the drive, and the power dribble all come from the one inside pivot, which is why the series is drilled as one move with three endings.
