Drill: Defending Pin-Downs (Lock and Trail)
Call the

5 steps down from the elbow and pins on X2's back while X5 calls screen down before 5 arrives and keeps calling it, because the call has to arrive before the screen does or X2 never gets to choose his path.
X2 locks onto 2's top-side hip and denies the reject and the backdoor, and X5 steps to the high side of the screen ready to show, because the cut has to go one way for the trail to work.
2 cuts up off the screen toward the wing; X2 follows a half step behind with his shoulder turned to slip through the screen, never switching and never going under, while X5 steps into the cutter's path with the inside forearm up and X1 pressures the passer, because that contact at the top of the screen is what widens the path and buys the trailer time.
1 passes to 2 on the wing: X2 closes the last step and contests the catch with a hand high, and X5 recovers to 5 ducking into the lane, because a show that stays on the cutter has become a switch and left the screener alone.
2 catches and puts it on the floor baseline; X2 slides to contain with X5 walled up on 5 behind him, because the trail only counts if it ends in a contest. No shot, no entry, and the stop counts; live 3v3 for a possession, rotate after three.
