Drill: Three-Man Weave, Full Court (Timed)
five passes,
no dribble
1
2
3
1 chest-passes to 2 and sprints behind him to the left sideline; 3 cuts in toward the middle to be the next target. Call the receiver's name and he answers ball, because the weave at full speed only works with talk.
2 passes across to 3 and runs behind him to the right sideline; 1 cuts toward the middle. The passer always goes behind the receiver, never in front, so the lanes stay open and nobody runs into the next pass.
3 passes to 1 and runs behind him to the left; 2 cuts in from the right. Throw the pass ahead of the runner, chest high, because a pass behind a sprinting teammate is the dropped ball that repeats the trip.
Fourth pass, 1 to 2, and 1 runs behind him to the right sideline; 3 cuts hard to the lane as the finisher. The square at half court marks where the next trio leaves, so the floor never stands still.
Fifth pass: 2 bounce-passes to 3 at the lane and keeps running for the rebound, while 1 fills the far side. The last pass is a bounce pass because the finisher is catching at a sprint and a bounce pass sits in his hands.
3 lays it in with one dribble at most; 2 rebounds out of the net and the same trio weaves back the other way. The team counts makes in three minutes, so a miss or a drop costs everyone and gets repeated.
