Drill: 4-on-4 Transition With Trailer

The coach, 5, yells two names, X2 and X4, and passes to 2 on the end line. The offense pushes the instant the ball is caught, because the advantage only lasts as long as it takes two players to touch a line and turn around.
X2 and X4 sprint to touch the end line, no jogging, so the trailers feel the cost of the call. X1 and X3 sprint back: X1 to stop the ball at the far free-throw line, X3 to protect the rim, because the rule is stop the ball first and take the farthest attacker second.
2 pushes the ball up the middle, 1 and 4 run the sidelines wide, and 3 trails for the rebound or the kick-back; X2 and X4 turn and sprint back, hunting the farthest attacker, so the hole gets filled from the rim out.
2 attacks the free-throw line and X1 steps up to stop him; 1 and 4 fill the wings behind the arc, because the quick advantage shot lives on the wings when two defenders are the whole defense. The trailers are still a step away.
X1 has the ball stopped and X3 is at the rim, so the open man is 4 on the right wing: 2 passes it ahead on time, because the advantage shot has to be found before the trailers arrive, not after.
4 shoots the open wing three before X4 can get there. Whatever happens, the defense rebounds and pushes the other way and the offense sprints back, because every possession converts and nobody rests until the coach has the ball again.
