Coach 2 at the slot with the ball, the chair on the lane line as the screener, the line of shooters in the corner. 1 steps toward the baseline first, because the defender has to be set up before the screen is used.
1 sprints to the chair, reading where the imagined defender is before he arrives, because the read is made on the way to the screen, not after it.
The coach calls curl: 1 wraps tight around the chair, shoulder brushing it, toward the elbow with his hands ready, because a curl that goes wide leaves the gap the trailing defender slides through. Pop goes straight to the wing; fade drifts back to the corner.
2 passes to the elbow as 1 comes off the chair, so the ball arrives as his feet are setting and not a count after.
1 catches on the inside foot and shoots; then he rebounds, passes to the coach, and goes to the end of the line, because the next shooter is already stepping toward the baseline.
